Let’s face it – almost all companies who go into business are there to make money. If it’s not their main priority, then they are in business for the wrong reasons. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that business people are cold-blooded vampires who are dead inside and just want to take everything they can from people.
Most of them give back to their community, and many of them aren’t even recognized for their good deeds because they don’t publicize their kind acts. They can help the local population in many ways. Some of them, start charities for different causes, some give away free items to people, and some use their buildings as a place of refuge.
In Catania – a small port city on the island of Sicily in Italy, the IKEA branch in this bustling town opened their doors to the little furballs who call this city, home. In the dead of winter, They allowed stray dogs in this city to keep themselves warm. They found the perfect spot within the branch’s living room displays.
Martine Taccia, a resident of this city, was surprised when she found the poor pups slumbering in the living room displays and couches. Her and other customers of IKEA Catania absolutely loved what the company is doing and felt that everyone should applaud this great deed.
The world wouldn’t even find out about the good deeds IKEA Catania was doing if it wasn’t for their customers. We believe this is the best part of what they were doing. IKEA Catania wasn’t doing this for publicity, or to gain more customers, they were doing this from the goodness of their hearts.
Not only did they let the dogs keep warm inside, but they also gave them food and water from their pantry. These kind acts helped these strays have a fighting chance against the freezing winter gales. Some of them even found their forever families, as some of the customers took a few of the dogs home with them.
